Can I take a Structured Study class even though I am a General Intensive or Business English student?

OF COURSE!  You can do as much Structured Study as you want!  This will help to improve your English much quicker!  Be careful - You cannot do Structured Study to keep your attendance high if you miss your general or elective classes!  You don’t get any attendance for extra Structured Study classes that you do.

How long do I need to take Structured Study classes in a week?

If you are in General English or TAE and you are an F-1 student, you MUST do 3 hours of Structured Study every week.  This is very IMPORTANT.  We have many Structured Study options.  Come to the front desk to learn more and get information in your native language.

Ellis: Computer-based program with hundreds of practice activities at all levels.  Ellis offers testing, ongoing assessment, skills and grammar-based exercises at a wide range of levels.

Portfolio Hour: All students can receive a Student Portfolio to plan their course and track their progress.  In addition to the portfolio, students can bring homework or work on the Study Menus or PLAs.
